SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 22, 2001--IKOS Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:IKOS - news), a leading provider of high-performance design verification solutions, today announced that NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq:NVDA - news), has made a sound investment by purchasing multiple VStation-15M emulators to deployed in the verification of its current graphics processing units (GPU) and media communications processors (MCP) product lines and future products.

``This purchase of the VStation-15M marks the 4th generation of IKOS' emulation systems NVIDIA has successfully utilized in the design verification of its industry-leading products,'' commented Chris Malachowsky, co-founder and vice president of engineering for NVIDIA Corporation. ``IKOS' VStation products have been key factors in NVIDIA's dominance in the critical 'time-to-market with the best product' race and we fully expect to continue that tradition.''

VStation-15M -- the 4th generation emulator from IKOS, is targeted directly at solving the system level integration needs of today's complex SoC designs. The emulator provides users with up to 15 million usable ASIC gate capacity and performance to 2 MHz. The VStation capacity ratings include IKOS' 100% visibility feature, where users have visibility of all internal and external signals available at any time.

``We are enormously pleased to be part of nVidia's continued and unparalleled success,'' commented Ramon Nunez, president and CEO of IKOS Systems. ``Our VStation-15M brings the type of productivity enhancements capable of providing orders of magnitude more verification and shaving weeks of verification time off schedules. Not only does the VStation-15M handle capacity up to 15 million gates in one system, it also has upload and download times that are up to 400% faster then our prior generation of systems. Additionally, it has a probing and data sampling architecture that improves the time to data visibility by 2X.''
